{"id":20195,"date":"2024-02-08T08:59:05","date_gmt":"2024-02-08T07:59:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/help.openbee.com\/open-bee-portal\/user-guide\/connecting-to-the-software\/two-factor-authentication-login-google-authenticator\/"},"modified":"2026-05-13T10:47:15","modified_gmt":"2026-05-13T08:47:15","slug":"two-factor-authentication-login-google-authenticator","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/help.openbee.com\/en\/open-bee-portal\/user-guide\/connecting-to-the-software\/two-factor-authentication-login-google-authenticator\/","title":{"rendered":"Two-factor authentication login: Google authenticator"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This feature allows you to add a second factor of authentication in addition to the username and password login.<\/p>\n\n<p>Depending on the policy applied by your administrator, it is either:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Your choice: you can choose whether or not to activate it<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Required: Your administrator requires you to use it for security reasons<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Connexionavecdoublefacteurd'authentification:Googleauthenticator-Installationdel'applicationGoogleAuthenticator\">Installing the Google Authenticator app<\/h3>\n\n<p>First, you need to install the Google Authenticator app on your phone or tablet, which you can find on the Googlestore or Appstore.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Connexionavecdoublefacteurd'authentification:Googleauthenticator-Activationdelafonctionnalit&#xE9;\">Enabling the feature<\/h3>\n\n<p>If your administrator&#8217;s configuration allows you to do so, you can enable\/disable two-factor authentication from <a href=\"https:\/\/help.openbee.com\/en\/open-bee-portal\/user-guide\/user-preferences\/\">your user preferences.<\/a><\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.openbee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/273907800-translated.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>To use two-factor authentication:  <\/p>\n\n<p>1\/ Enable two-factor authentication<\/p>\n\n<p>2\/ Choose the two-factor authentication mode by Google Authenticator<\/p>\n\n<p>3\/ Generate the QRCode to link your phone or tablet to your <strong>Open Bee\u2122 Portal<\/strong> profile<\/p>\n\n<p>4\/ Launch your <em>Google Authenticator <\/em>app and choose to scan a QRCode to add an account<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.openbee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/273907802-translated.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>4 \/ Scan the QRCode you just generated<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.openbee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/273907801-translated.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>An account is added and associated with your profile<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.openbee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/273907803.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>5\/ Insert the code displayed on your mobile phone and click on the <em>activate<\/em> button to finalize the association of the Google Authenticator account with that of your EDM<\/p>\n\n<p>6\/ Don&#8217;t forget to save the entire configuration<\/p>\n\n<p>Authentication is now active and ready to use.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Connexionavecdoublefacteurd'authentification:Googleauthenticator-Processusd'authentification\">Authentication Process<\/h3>\n\n<p>When you go to log in to <strong>Open Bee\u2122 Portal<\/strong>, once your username and password have been verified, instead of being logged into the app, you will be redirected to a new screen asking you to enter an authentication account. This code must be retrieved in your Google Authenticator app from the account created during linking.<\/p>\n\n<p>This is a code that is regenerated every minute.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.openbee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-3-translated-1-1024x641.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16324\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>Once this code is validated, you are authenticated and logged in to the application.  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This feature allows you to add a second factor of authentication in addition to the username and password login.
