{"id":20321,"date":"2022-03-25T13:45:50","date_gmt":"2022-03-25T12:45:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/help.openbee.com\/open-bee-portal\/installers-guide\/installation-windows\/"},"modified":"2026-05-13T09:40:36","modified_gmt":"2026-05-13T07:40:36","slug":"installation-windows","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/help.openbee.com\/en\/open-bee-portal\/installers-guide\/installation-windows\/","title":{"rendered":"Installation Windows"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Summary<\/h2>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"#ob73-section-1-introduction\">Introduction<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#ob73-section-2-conditions\">Open Bee\u2122 Portal Installation  <\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#ob73-section-3-sauvegarde\">Installation OpenSearch  <\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ob73-section-1-introduction\">Introduction<\/h2>\n\n<p>Starting with version <strong>7.3.0<\/strong>, Open Bee\u2122 Portal uses a new search engine: <strong>OpenSearch<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Open Bee\u2122 Portal cannot work without this new engine, so installation requires the following:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Installing Open Bee\u2122 Portal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Installing OpenSearch<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>OpenSearch installation must be done <strong>after <\/strong>installing Open Bee\u2122 Portal<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ob73-section-2-conditions\">Open Bee\u2122 Portal Installation<\/h2>\n\n<p>A local Windows <strong>administrator<\/strong> account is required for installation.<\/p>\n\n<p>From Windows Explorer, run the installer with a <strong>local Administrator<\/strong> account.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.openbee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/173408893-translated.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>The program offers to install the necessary files on the hard drive.<\/p>\n\n<p>Click &#8221; <strong>Next<\/strong> &#8221; and wait for the installation to be complete.<\/p>\n\n<p>The Open Bee\u2122 Portal installer will also proceed with the installation of a MySQL database and various must-have components such as PHP and Apache.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"InstallationWindows-D&#xE9;tectionetparam&#xE9;tragedesportssousWindows:\">Port detection and parameterization in Windows:<\/h5>\n\n<p>Detect the availability of ports 8443, 8000 (Apache), and 3306 (MySQL) during installation and the ability to<br\/>Change these ports if they are already used by other services.<\/p>\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.openbee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/information.png\" alt=\"(info)\"\/>  Since version 6.3, Open Bee\u2122 Portal has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.erlang.org\/\">ERLANG<\/a> on board, which may cause the following alert:<\/p>\n\n<p>Failure to open the firewall will have no impact on the operation of the product.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.openbee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/186056706-translated.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>Once the installation is complete, a page will automatically appear in your internet browser so that you can activate your software.<\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Installation Open Search<\/h2>\n\n<p>L\u2019installation d\u2019OpenSearch se fait via un ex\u00e9cutable d\u00e9di\u00e9\u00a0: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ftp.myopenbee.com\/releases\/OpenBee\/OpenSearchToolsSetup\/1.0.0\/OpenSearchTools_Setup_1.0.0-c2aff59.exe\">OpenSearchTools_Setup.exe<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>OpenSearchTools_Setup.exe performs the following operations:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Installing OpenSearch<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creating a Windows service named <strong>OpenSearch<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Starting OpenSearch<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Installing the utilities needed for data migration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Installing the three OpenSearch utilities<\/h3>\n\n<p>Three utilities are installed automatically, in the form of desktop shortcuts:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Migration OpenSearch<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>OpenSearch synchronization<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>OpenSearch Diagnostics<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>The Synchronization utility is not useful for a clean installation.<\/strong> It is only to be used in the event of an update <em>(see update section).<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1 \u2014 Install OpenSearch and Utilities<\/h3>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Run <strong>OpenSearchTools_Setup.exe<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once the installation is complete:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Verify that the <strong>OpenSearch<\/strong> service is installed and started.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verify that the configured port (default 9200) is reachable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verify that all three utilities (Diagnotic OpenSearch, OpenSearch Migration, and OpenSearch Synchronization) are accessible from the desktop<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Run the <strong>OpenSearch Diagnostic<\/strong> utility to validate the installation and accessibility of OpenSearch.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p>If the diagnostic returns installation errors on the Python modules, these will be automatically downloaded when the migration is executed.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>\/!\\ Attention: <\/strong>OpenSearch should not be installed on the same machine as Open Bee\u2122 Scan OCS. On the other hand, OpenSearch can be installed on the same machine as Open Bee\u2122 Portal. <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Specific case: Python is already installed on the machine<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>In the event that Python is already installed on the machine intended to host Open Search, two scenarios are possible:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The installed version of Python is lower than version 3.7:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You need to uninstall Python from the machine<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The installed version of Python is greater than or equal to version 3.7\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>When installing OpenSearch, you must uncheck &#8220;Python Installation&#8221; at the step of choosing which components to install<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.openbee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-1-translated.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28437\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2 \u2014 Initiate data migration<\/h3>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Run <strong>OpenSearch migration<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wait for the migration to complete completion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check for errors in PO line returns and associated logs.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> This can be done while Open Bee\u2122 Portal is in use.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Specific case: OpenSearch is not installed on the same server as Open Bee\u2122 Portal<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>In the event that OpenSearch and Open Bee\u2122 Portal are installed on different servers, the utility&#8217;s automatic connection attempt will fail:<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.openbee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/D58EA9BC-47AB-4CEC-BAD8-20378E37F528-translated.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28407\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>In this case, you must specify the Open Bee\u2122 Portal database connection information before continuing with the migration.<\/p>\n\n<p>It is possible that this will result in a <strong>MySQL error 1130<\/strong> during migration.
