Symptoms<\/h1>\n

When editing a Word (or Office) document online, it offers to combine the documents when it has only been edited by one person: <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Resolution <\/h1>\n

In Word 2016 configuration<\/p>\n

File > Options > Trust Center<\/p>\n

Click on the “Trust  Center Settings”  button <\/p>\n

In the new window that appears, click on the “File Blocking Settings”  menu<\/p>\n

Check the last radio button instead of the 2nd.<\/p>\n

Uncheck the first box in the “Protected  Mode”  tab:<\/p>\n
