Enter one value per row.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"confluence-embedded-image\" src=\"https:\/\/help.openbee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/273356095-translated.jpg\" width=\"454\" data-image-src=\"https:\/\/help.openbee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/273356095-translated.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Once created, the list can be viewed in the central part of the application.<\/p>\n<p>Different actions are possible on the selected list:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The pencil to rename the list<\/li>\n<li>The selectboxes and the &#8220;<strong>Actions on Selection<\/strong>&#8221; button allow you to remove items from the list in bulk<\/li>\n<li>The &#8220;<strong>Add Value<\/strong>&#8221; button allows you to enter a new value to add to the list<\/li>\n<li>The &#8220;<strong>Edit in batch<\/strong>&#8221; button allows you to edit all the values of the list in the same text field (one value per line, as when creating the list)<\/li>\n<li>The &#8220;<strong>Delete<\/strong>&#8221; button deletes the list and all these values<\/li>\n<li>The context menu associated with the values of the list allows: to modify this value, to delete it and to associate a sublist with the value (see the section dedicated to sublists for more details on the subject)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"confluence-embedded-image\" src=\"https:\/\/help.openbee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/273356096-translated.jpg\" width=\"900\" data-image-src=\"https:\/\/help.openbee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/273356096-translated.jpg\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"aui-message hint shadowed information-macro\">\n<div class=\"message-content\">\n<p>It is possible to import lists from&nbsp;external databases. <a href=\"245104696.html\">See the how-to guide on this topic for more details.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h1 id=\"Listes-Sous-listes\">Sublists<\/h1>\n<p>Before creating and using sublists, it is important to know the following:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square;\">\n<li>A list is defined by a name and composed of different values. <u>Example:<\/u>&nbsp;the list named &#8220;Country&#8221; contains the values &#8220;France&#8221; and &#8220;Germany&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>A sublist is a list <strong>attached to one and only one value<\/strong> in another list. <u>Example:<\/u> the list named &#8220;Region of France&#8221; is attached to the value &#8220;France&#8221; of the list &#8220;Country&#8221;.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To create a sublist, use the context menu on the value of a list and choose the &#8220;Sublist&#8221; entry.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"confluence-embedded-image\" src=\"https:\/\/help.openbee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/273356097-translated.jpg\" width=\"450\" data-image-src=\"https:\/\/help.openbee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/273356097-translated.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>A window&nbsp;allows you to define a new list or choose an existing list that will be attached to the value of the parent list.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"confluence-embedded-image\" src=\"https:\/\/help.openbee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/273356098-translated.jpg\" data-image-src=\"https:\/\/help.openbee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/273356098-translated.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Once validated, the sublist is visible in three places:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In the tree, as a sublist of the &#8220;Country&#8221; list<\/li>\n<li>In the tree as a simple list (a sublist is still a list first and foremost)<\/li>\n<li>In the detail of the &#8220;Country&#8221; list, associated with the value &#8220;France&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"confluence-embedded-image\" src=\"https:\/\/help.openbee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/273356099-translated.jpg\" width=\"900\" data-image-src=\"https:\/\/help.openbee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/273356099-translated.jpg\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"aui-message warning shadowed information-macro\">\n<div class=\"message-content\">\n<p>A sublist can only be attached to one parent list.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Once the sublists have been defined, the metadata remains to be defined<\/p>\n<p>In the &#8220;<strong>Administration \/ Filing Rules<\/strong>&#8221; section:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square;\">\n<li>Create a &#8220;List&#8221; metadata with the parent list (&#8220;Country&#8221; &nbsp;in our example)<\/li>\n<li>Create a metadata of type &#8220;Sublist&#8221; and choose &#8220;Country&#8221; as the Parent metadata.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"confluence-embedded-image\" src=\"https:\/\/help.openbee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/273356100-translated.jpg\" width=\"350\" data-image-src=\"https:\/\/help.openbee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/273356100-translated.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>This relationship between the parent metadata will allow the system to propose the sublist &#8220;Region of France&#8221;
