Data recovery
Open Bee™ Sync is a tool for synchronizing documents with Open Bee™ Portal.
But it can also be used to do data recovery, i.e. import a large number of documents from a Windows folder into Open Bee™ Portal.
It should be noted that with this tool, documents will be imported with the default filing rule (without metadata).
To import documents in bulk with metadata, other tools are available, such as Open Bee Data Importer.
In order to improve processing and avoid errors, in the event of data transfer with a large number of documents, it is advisable to modify the UpdateIconOverLay tag of the configuration file.

Processing Time
The time it takes to send documents to Open Bee™ Portal varies, and will depend mainly on the size of the document as well as the speed of the internet connection.
It takes at least 2 seconds to send a document and about 8 seconds for a 10MB document.
For a large data recovery (12,000 files of 430GB in total), sending all documents to Open Bee™ Portal in the Cloud takes 3 days and 6 hours.

Conversely, Open Bee™ Sync can be used to retrieve documents stored in Open Bee™ Portal, for example to make a backup on a hard drive.
Only documents are retrieved during upload, metadata is not exported.
Processing Time
As with data transfer, the time it takes to download documents depends on the size of the documents and the speed of the internet connection.
To download 12,000 files (430GB in total) from Open Bee™ Portal to the Cloud, it takes about 19 hours.
